My name is Jessica Whitehead and I am a behavior analyst in Washington. I have been in education for 17 years. I earned my B.A. in Elementary Education from Arizona State University and my M.A. in Elementary Education from Northern Arizona University. Both degrees had a multicultural focus, which helped me obtain my ESL certificate.
I started my education career teaching 3rd grade ML (multilingual) in Phoenix, AZ for three years. I then moved to Cheyenne, WY, where I taught 4th grade, 5th grade, and ML learners. In that role, I loved working with teachers on how to better accommodate learners in the classroom. That led me to accept an Instructional Coach position within
the district. Over time, I wanted to be able to better support students and staff with the growing need for behavior supports. I recently earned a graduate degree in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and am currently on the path to becoming a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Now in Washington, I work as a behavior analyst for a school district where I am able to support four schools in implementing behavior supports for students.
I implemented ABA strategies in my own classroom and saw amazing results. There was an increase in engagement, my test scores increased, and my students were excited to come to school! I created Classroom ABA Solutions to share my journey and the resources I create. Mostly, I want to provide a way to help others create a positive learning environment for students. I hope you find the website useful. Feel free to use the resources that I post and please reach out if you have any questions!
Best,
Jessica
